Pieve di C. Pozzale
Partendo a Pieve si sale verso la frazione di Pozzale.
Dopo la Residenza per Anziani Vazzoler si svolta a destra per seguire la strada sterrata che passa per la zona di Arzanie e si arriva a ricongiungerci sulla strada che sale da Pieve poco prima del Museo etnografico arti e mestieri del passato dove si susseguono delle mostre dedicate alla “Gente di Montagna”.
Saliamo quindi per la strada a destra che ci porta davanti alla Chiesa dedicata a S.Tommaso, dopo di che, con una breve passeggiata, raggiungiamo un bellissimo belvedere rivolto verso Pieve da cui possiamo ammirare le montagne cha vanno dal Montanel fino al Duranno.
Ritorniamo sui nostri passi e girovaghiamo per il paese per ammirare la Mostra con le foto esposte sulle pareti delle case, raffiguranti la Gente di Montagna di tutto il mondo.
Passiamo per la Piazza per poi raggiungere il colle dove si trova l'Agriturismo “La Pausa” da cui possiamo avere una bella panoramica sul Paese di Pozzale e sulla valle del Centro Cadore con il lago artificiale che lambisce tutti i paesi fino a Lozzo.
Scendiamo quindi verso l'area del Campo sportivo e del Parco giochi per poi risalire, per una recente ampia strada boschiva, fino in cima al Col Contras.
Dal lato opposto si ridiscende verso Pieve passando davanti alla Casa di Riposo Dolomieu e con quattro passi ritorniamo alla Piazza Tiziano dove ha sede il Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità di Cadore.
Starting in Pieve, climb up towards the hamlet of Pozzale.
After the Residenza per Anziziani Vazzoler (Vazzoler Senior Citizens' Residence), we turn right to follow the dirt road that passes through the Arzanie area and rejoin the road that climbs from Pieve just before the Museo etnografico arti e mestieri del passato (Ethnographic Museum of Arts and Crafts of the Past), where exhibitions dedicated to the “Gente di Montagna” (Mountain People) are held.
We then take the road to the right that takes us in front of the Church dedicated to St Thomas, after which, with a short walk, we reach a beautiful belvedere facing Pieve from which we can admire the mountains ranging from Montanel to Duranno.
We retrace our steps and wander around the village to admire the exhibition with photos displayed on the walls of the houses, depicting Mountain People from all over the world.
We pass through the Piazza to then reach the hill where the ‘La Pausa’ farmhouse is located, from which we can enjoy a beautiful view of the village of Pozzale and the Centro Cadore valley with the artificial lake that laps all the villages as far as Lozzo.
We then descend towards the area of the sports ground and playground and then ascend, along a recent wide forest road, to the top of Col Contras.
On the opposite side, we descend again towards Pieve, passing in front of the Dolomieu Rest Home, and with a few steps we return to Piazza Tiziano, where the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità di Cadore is located.
