Partendo da Versiaco raggiungiamo Dobbiaco per la ciclabile che collega Lienz a San Candido. Saliamo per la Valle San Silvestro fino a raggiungere l'omonima Malga. Da qui una lunga salita a tornanti ci porterà alla quota di 2505 m. del Rifugio "Marchhutte", posizionato sotto la vetta MarchKinkele (m.2545), ricavato da tre fabbricati, costruiti negli anni '30, facenti parte del Vallo Alpino del Littorio per ospitare le guardie di frontiera.
Dopo una panoramica attraversata, rimanendo in quota, raggiungiamo il bivio da cui si può scegliere se scendere verso Prato Alla Drava o verso Sillian. Noi affrontiamo un percorso un po' accidentato con qualche breve tratto da percorrere con bici a mano per attraversare il confine e raggiungere la strada sterrata che raggiunge l'area sciistica di Sillian e poi scende, per un tratto sterrata e poi asfaltata, fino al paese. Per la pista ciclabile ritorniamo a Versiaco.
Starting in Versiaco we reach Toblach along the cycle path from Lienz to Innichen. We ascend through the San Silvestro Valley until we reach the alp of the same name. From here a long, winding ascent will take us to the 2505 m. altitude of the ‘Marchhutte’ Refuge, located below the MarchKinkele peak (2545 m), created from three buildings, built in the 1930s, which were part of the Littorio Alpine Wall to house the border guards.
After a scenic crossing, remaining at altitude, we reach the crossroads from which we can choose whether to descend towards Prato Alla Drava or Sillian. We take a somewhat bumpy route with a few short stretches to cross the border and reach the dirt road that reaches the Sillian ski area and then descends, for a stretch unpaved and then asphalted, to the village. We return to Versiaco via the cycle path.
